Meligha Garfield hails from Rochester, New York, bringing with him a diverse background and a passion for cultural innovation and technology. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Government with a minor in Africana Studies and Colonial Latin American History from New Mexico State University. Building upon his undergraduate studies, Meligha pursued a Master's degree in Public Administration, further honing his skills in organizational leadership and management.

Currently serving as the Inaugural Director of Black Culture, Innovation, and Technology at Georgia Tech, Meligha is dedicated to fostering spaces that celebrate and empower Black voices. Before this role, he made significant contributions as Inaugural Director of the Black Cultural Center at the University of Utah.

In addition to his work in academia and cultural advocacy, Meligha is a multitalented individual with a flair for creativity. He is a skilled graphic designer, a captivating voice-over artist, and a former radio personality. Meligha's interests extend beyond his professional pursuits, as he is an avid collector of Marvel comic books, with favorite heroes including Luke Cage, Silver Surfer, Black Panther, and Storm.

As a social entrepreneur, Meligha is committed to leveraging his skills and platform to effect positive change within his community. He is also a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, reflecting his dedication to brotherhood and service.

Meligha's love for music, particularly 80's and 90's R&B, Hip Hop, and Neo Soul with a splash of jazz, reflects his eclectic tastes and influences. Among his favorite Hip Hop acts are luminaries such as Jay Z, Kanye West, Nas, Rakim, Wu-Tang Clan, and A Tribe Called Quest, with honorable mentions including Missy Elliott, Big Daddy Kane, DMX, 50 Cent, and LL Cool J. Meligha Garfield embodies a dynamic blend of creativity, advocacy, and cultural appreciation, making a meaningful impact wherever he goes.
